Here's a small bureaucratic oddity: the state of Orissa officially became "Odisha" in 2011, but its High Court, established in 1948 at Cuttack, never got the matching rename — it's still legally the "Orissa High Court" today. The court compound, inside the historic Barabati Fort, also houses something no other Indian High Court has: a purpose-built Museum of Justice tracing the region's judicial history.

Jurisdiction Map: Covers Odisha. Principal seat: Cuttack, Odisha. It has no permanent Bench elsewhere; every matter is heard at this one seat.
