We store the name, email address and password hash you supply, account and session records, optional background, affiliation and social profile information, manuscript versions, source metadata, uploaded files, rights declarations and editorial decisions. Passwords are hashed; they are not stored as readable passwords.
Your registration email is not included in public article responses. Author names, affiliations, background and social links deliberately included in an article become public with that published version. Updating your private profile does not silently change previously published author details.
Essential sign-in cookies keep you signed in. Local browser storage may remember saved or read items and interface preferences. There is no advertising tracking service configured by this account module. Hosting providers and external sites can maintain their own logs and cookies.
Account details support sign-in, authorship and editorial administration. Authorised administrators can review manuscripts, account details, source metadata and source files covered by the upload declaration. Public source metadata may be shared through published citations; private research notes and source files are not public downloads.
You can edit your profile, sign out and download your own account information from My account. Submitted manuscript versions, consent records and editorial history are retained for provenance and rights administration; draft deletion removes the draft from normal use but does not promise immediate erasure from backups or retained version records.
External searches transmit your query to selected providers; following original-source and social-profile links leaves TLG. Routine collection and indexing use deterministic software with no AI dependency. Email verification and password-recovery delivery are not configured in this local edition.
A production contact for privacy requests, retention schedules, hosting location and backup operations must be finalised before public registration is launched. This local edition does not claim that these operational arrangements are already in place.
