The Supreme Court Observer: a living archive of one court's work

The Supreme Court Observer is a free, independent legal journalism site that reports on the Supreme Court of India and keeps the documents behind the story. It was conceived in 2016 by Dr Sudhir Krishnaswamy, and it follows a chosen set of landmark cases with background, the parties and their advocates, and the pleadings, affidavits and orders that matter. It also publishes reports on oral arguments, statistics on how the Court is working, and podcasts. The difference from an ordinary news site is the archive: you can open the case page long after the headlines have moved on and still find the paperwork. It only covers selected cases, so it is a guide to the Court's big questions, not a complete record.
