NATLEX and NORMLEX: labour law, national and international
NATLEX and NORMLEX are the International Labour Organization's free databases, one for national labour laws and one for international labour standards. NATLEX holds more than 100,000 records covering 196 countries and over 160 territories and subdivisions, updated weekly, with full text or abstracts and a link to the source. NORMLEX sits above it and adds which countries have ratified which ILO conventions, what the ILO's supervisory bodies have said, and country profiles that tie the two together. Think of NATLEX as the national bookshelf and NORMLEX as the catalogue that shows how each country measures up to the international rules. The ILO itself warns that the records are for information and do not replace the authentic text.
