italaw: where investment-treaty arbitration comes out of the shadows
italaw is a free, open-access repository of investment-treaty arbitration, a field that is famously hard to see into, and it is run by an academic, not a state. Andrew Newcombe of the University of Victoria publishes it. It collects awards, decisions and pleadings, treaties and model treaties (the 2003 Indian model bilateral investment treaty is among them), and links on to the official case registries at ICSID and the Permanent Court of Arbitration. You can subscribe to alerts for a particular case and receive an email whenever a document is added. It depends on what parties and tribunals choose to make public, so a missing document does not mean a document does not exist.
