Gesetze im Internet: nearly all of German federal law, free
Gesetze im Internet is the German federal government's free online collection of almost all current federal legislation, run by the Federal Ministry of Justice and the Federal Office of Justice. You can search the titles or the full text, browse alphabetically, and read the latest consolidated versions, which the Office keeps updated. English translations of many important laws are available, and there is a service listing newly published provisions. It links onward to the state (Länder) laws and to decisions of the federal courts. The English versions are for convenience, so where precision matters, use the German original.
