The Parliamentary Monitoring Group: South Africa's parliamentary committees, minuted
The Parliamentary Monitoring Group publishes detailed minutes of committee meetings of South Africa's National Assembly and National Council of Provinces, free to read. The minutes are unofficial, which means they are the Group's own record and not Parliament's, but they are far more detailed than most official summaries, and for a Bill still in committee they are often the only public account of who argued what. Its blog highlights the week's parliamentary events. This is the place to follow how a South African law is actually shaped, before it reaches the gazette.
