Legal Information Institute of India (LIIofIndia)
India's node in a global movement

LIIofIndia belongs to a worldwide family: the Free Access to Law Movement, a loose alliance of university-run "Legal Information Institutes" (Cornell's LII in the US, AustLII in Australia, BAILII in the UK) that share both a philosophy — law should be free — and, often, underlying technology. LIIofIndia is the Indian branch of that effort, and while it's less famous domestically than Indian Kanoon, it's worth knowing simply because it plugs India into the same federated search that WorldLII uses to cover 120-plus jurisdictions at once.
