e-Gazette of India
The actual, legally definitive text

Here's a fact that surprises people who've only used India Code: the Gazette, not India Code, is the legally authoritative version of a notification or Act. India Code is the government's own convenient repository, but if a lawyer needs to prove exactly what was notified and when, the digitally signed Gazette copy is the document that ends the argument. Free to search and download by date, ministry, or Gazette number.
