Court Listener
Nine million opinions, built by a non-profit on principle
CourtListener is run by the Free Law Project, a 501(c)(3) non-profit whose founders built it specifically because they believed court opinions — public documents by definition — shouldn't sit behind a paywall. It holds over nine million opinions from 2,000-plus US courts, an oral-argument audio archive, and RECAP, a crowdsourced project that liberates documents from PACER (the US federal courts' paid filing system) whenever a user who already paid for a document chooses to share it.
